RealBottleneckCalculator (realbottleneckcalculator.com) is an independently operated website providing free CPU and GPU bottleneck calculations, hardware comparisons and PC hardware information. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, any game publisher or any retailer. For anything in this policy, write to [email protected].

This policy covers every page on this domain, including the calculator, the CPU and GPU pages, the comparison tool and the articles.

What we do not collect

We do not ask you to register, and there is nothing on this site that asks for personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

your name, address, phone number or date of birth;
payment or card details — nothing on this site is for sale;
passwords or account credentials, because there are no accounts;
any information about your actual computer. Nothing is installed, nothing is scanned and no benchmark is run on your machine. You tell the calculator which parts you have by picking them from a list.

Your calculator choices stay in your browser

The processor, graphics card, resolution, memory, storage and workload you select are processed entirely by JavaScript running on your own device. The estimate is calculated locally from data that was already downloaded with the page. We do not send your selected hardware to a separate calculator database, analytics service or user profile.

Your current selection is written into the address bar as a shareable link, for example ?cpu=ryzen-5-7500f&gpu=rx-9060-xt-16gb. The selected hardware is included in the URL so you can copy, bookmark or share a calculator result. If you choose to share that link, it reveals the hardware selections included in the URL. It does not contain your name, email address or other personal information.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own, and there are no third-party cookies from advertising or analytics networks. Nothing is written to local storage or session storage either. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything.

If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live, and visitors in the EU and UK will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookie is set.

If you email us

When you write to [email protected], we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. That mailbox is hosted by Google, so Google processes the message as our email provider. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to deal with it and any follow-up, and we never add an address to a mailing list from an email sent to us.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information or share it with data brokers or advertisers. Limited information may be processed by our hosting provider, email provider and other third-party services specifically described in this policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply to our processing of your information, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion of your information, object to certain types of processing, request a copy of your personal information, and exercise these rights without being discriminated against. These rights may apply under laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, and applicable California privacy laws.

In practice, we hold very little personal information. There are no user accounts, cookies or analytics, so we generally have no personal profile connected to your visit. If you contact us by email, we may have your email address, message and any attachments you send us. For privacy-related requests, contact us at [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK and are unhappy with our response, you may also contact your local data protection authority.

Children

This site is a general-audience hardware reference and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Since the site collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for a child to submit, but if you believe a child has sent us something by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to manufacturer specification pages, benchmark sources and retailers. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy, and we have no control over what they collect.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS to help protect information transmitted between your browser and the website. Because we do not maintain user accounts or a database of calculator users, we do not operate a visitor profile database.

Changes to this policy

Any change is posted on this page with a new date at the top. If a change materially affects what is collected — for example introducing analytics or advertising — it will be described here in plain terms before it takes effect.
